As a first time homeowner Schede plumbing has been very responsive and professional. Schede plumbing oversaw the oil to gas conversion and installed a new boiler. As stressful as this was and every other plumbing issue in our home, Lou has always answered our calls even after hours to troubleshoot what could be going wrong. If we can’t fix the issue over the phone there is someone at our home the next day. His staff, specifically, Kelroy have nothing been short of exceptional. Kelroy always comes to our home with a smile on his face and will not leave till the problem is fixed. Plumbing and heating is the last thing any homeowner wants to deal with but Schede and Kelroy make it an easier pill to swallow.

This company’s plumber repiped second floor waste lines with PVC; repiped bathroom and kitchen cold/hot lines with Pex; repiped main line to basement with PVC in five days after cement floor demo and cast iron main cut and removed with as little damage as possible to drywall. Leak sources have been removed and replaced. Although renovation and repair by a different company has not yet begun, in regards to our home waterworks, I’m pleased with the methodical attention to plumbing design and timeliness of Michael Green and his assistant, Eric, toward our older home and pleased with the responsiveness, considerate explanations, and coordinated follow up by owner Lou and son, Nick Schede. I look forward to reporting back upon project completion.

Schede Plumbing & Heating, together with the wonderful service of Mike G. made what could have been a daunting process if I had to figure it out myself, an absolutely painless experience. My old electric water heater decided to give up one October morning. With just one phone call to Schede I was provided same day, professional & courteous, competitively priced service. Mike G. arrived at my home by noon with a new, more energy efficient, hot water heater. He quickly found the problem, removed the old one, installed the new one and educated me on how to handle the new unit, warranty and any future questions. I can not recommend these folks highly enough….should the need arise they will be my first call.

They follow our rules. When they don’t, they take it on the chin. The prices are pretty good for the area. They are always nice and respectful. Sometimes we can be difficult to deal with.

Ralph Schede gave me a quote over the phone and said that he could have someone come and look over the job and verify the quote that morning. A short time later, a Schede employee named Clinton showed up. Clinton had everything he needed to do the job right then and there if the quote given was OK with me. I told him to go ahead and do the job. Clinton was quick and thorough in replacing/removing the old water heater and installed the new one and replumbed all the pipes. It took him most of the day but he took the old water heater with him. The only thing for me was to recycle the cardboard box that the new water heater came in. In appreciation of my help, Clinton reduced the charge by $150 which I was happy with. I would use Ralph Schede again and have recommended him to a colleague at work who needed work done on his residential heating system. As far as I know, my colleague also used Ralph Schede and was pleased with the result. I’ve had no issues or problems with hot water since.

Schede Plumbing installed our Navien Combi-Boiler when we converted from oil to natural gas heating. The install team was professional and the workmanship was excellent. Pricing was fair and the customer service excellent. We had a few minor adjustments needed after the initial installation, and received quick turnaround to resolve the issues. Both Lou and Nick have always been fantastic to work with, and I would highly recommend Schede Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

Different work at various times, replaced a blown furnace, huge job that took two men 4 days. Member Comments: Exceeded all expectations by far. They actually hooked up a temporary hot water heater, so we could use showers while they did the work, something no one else offered to do. The price was below others and I don’t think anyone else could have done the job as well. Other jobs done for us have been equally good.

The young man who showed up was very courteous, and he worked for about 2 1/2 hours adding the gas line extension. after he was done he showed me how to turn off the gas in an emergency and left the place exactly in the condition he found it.

I called to get a quote on service for my tankless water heater. While I did not end up getting the service performed, this company was very helpful in answering my questions and gave me some advice and suggestions in order to get a more accurate price quotation. However the quote he initially provided did sound high to me (granted this was a quote over the phone without having seen the water heater). I would definitely trust using this plumber in the future.

They have come out a couple times. We had a pipe burst one time, and some plumbing issues another time. When the pipe burst it cost around $1500, and the plumbing issues cost around $200. They do a great job. I would highly recommend them. We had a small issue, and they came back out in a timely manner and fixed the problem.

They did a good job in general. Two guys were punctual, came over in the morning and finished the work in the afternoon. They removed my old 75-gallon water heater which was had a leak and replaced it with a brand new one. After they replaced it the new water heater wouldn’t ignite at first, so there was no hot water, then I called them and one of the guys was nice enough to come back quickly and fix the problem. He even stayed for an extra half an hour just to make sure the problem does not occur again.

We ordered a new washing machine from a local company who said they would also install it. When the company came, they didn’t have the right part and really left us in a lurch and said to call a plumber. After making a few phone calls Schede plumbing was the only who doesn’t seem to have staffing issues as they were able to send someone right away! Nick came out within 20 mins of our call, he had the right part and was able to finish the job. I’m so thankful for them and will be sure to call for future needs! Professional, courtesy and reasonably priced!

We had a hot water heater that we looked at after the hurricane and found that it was almost entirely rusted through, and was leaking. We had used them years and years ago and I remembered their name. I called Schede and they had 2 guys to me that afternoon to inspect and order a replacement, and then they spent the whole next day putting it in. I had expected a wait die to all the local contractors busy with post storm cleanup (which is major down here!) so i was impressed with their response and the receptionist on the phone was very knowledgeable. What they also discovered was that it wasn’t just an old one but that an upstairs toilet had been put in incorrectly when the house was built and had been leaking on the unit for 8 years, causing the rust out in the first place and they fixed it perfectly. They also fixed all our toilets that were “running” constantly.
The two guys, Kelvin and Mike were thorough, clean, responsible, polite and I would hire them again in a nanosecond and recommend them to anyone looking for a great plumber. We have called for an estimate on replacing some vents and insulation caused by flooding and are awaiting that. The price did seem high although quite frankly, i did not get other estimates and they came as soon as I called and fixed it perfectly and uncovered the background problem . Plus maybe it is just high since we haven’t had that type of repair done before (all copper piping etc which I know is pricey).
